A new resource was recently rolled out for all of Stark County. StarkHelpCentral.com is a one stop website for all kinds of resources including homeless services, food, car repairs, clothing, mental health, LGBTQ+, medical care and crisis numbers.
This all encompassing website allows users to look up resources available in Alliance and all throughout Stark County. You can search for resources based on "stage of life" or by using the search bar.

January is School Board Appreciation Month! Join us this week as we recognize and get to know our five School Board members.
Tyler Kinser is the president of the Alliance Board of Education!
Here are 5 fun facts about Mr. Kinser:
1. He is the husband to Jenni-Jo Kinser and the father to Will and Zach.
2. He is a member of Carnation City Players. He's an actor, treasurer and past president.
3. In 1992, he won the District Bagging Content, of the Ohio Grocers Association Bagging Contest, and went on to the state competition.
4. He enjoys camping and kayaking with Jenni-Jo.
5. When he grows up, he wants to be either a teacher, a news anchor or a funeral director.

Alliance Middle School student, Nevaeh Harris, was recently surprised by Lionel Grimes, the 2022 Pathfinder recipient, and his daughter with a special gift! In the spring, Nevaeh created a portrait of Mr. Grimes that was displayed at the AMS Pathfinder assembly. Mr. Grimes saw the beautiful art work and asked to purchase it and meet the artist.
The Grimes family is encouraging Nevaeh to continue with her passion and bought her supplies to help her continue making art. #RepthatA

Learning letters is fun! Caitlin Driscoll, a teacher at AELS, incorporates movement into her lessons with students. The movements can include yoga poses, walking down the hall or making the shape of the letter with their bodies, like shown in the photo. They were working on the letter "L!"

The Akron Zoo wrapped up their visits to the kindergarteners! The students met two final animal friends, a turtle and a giant African millipede, during the last visit. Each student received their own stuffed animal and a special book they could read with their families. #RepthatA




We would like to thank Ms. Elayne Dunlap for her service as President of the Alliance Board of Education for the past year. Her support and guidance has been immeasurable and has helped the district greatly over the past year. Ms. Dunlap will remain as a member of the Board of Education.
We would like to congratulate Mr. Tyler Kinser for being voted the new President of the Alliance Board of Education during last night's board workshop. Ms. Suzie Dennis was voted the new Vice President.
