Over 50 prom dresses were given out during the annual Project Prom at Alliance High School! Along with the dresses, shoes, accessories, men's suits and ties were also given out to many students excited for prom next month. 💃🕺 If an AHS junior or senior was unable to attend Project Prom on Friday, they can reach out to their school counselor to set up an appointment to look for a dress, suit, shoes or accessories. A special shout out goes to the students in the Job Training Coordination (JTC) class, Stacey Breedon, Teresa McMillen and Heidi Hoffmeyer for organizing and hosting Project Prom. A big thank you goes to Gloria Kovacik for offering her seamstress services to tailor the dresses and suits for the students at no cost. We can't wait to see the students at Prom! #RepthatA

The kindergarten classes at Alliance Early Learning School recently finished their community helpers unit, which allowed them to learn about all kids of different jobs and careers! They had the opportunity to hear from a guest speakers from many different career fields. One of the guest speakers was Abbey Blake, the Jobs for Ohio Graduates (JOG) teacher at Alliance High School. Mrs. Blake, along with two of her students spoke with the kids about the importance of making good first impressions and about how JOG helps to teach the AHS students important job-related skills. Exposing our young Aviators to a variety of career fields helps them to learn what their interests are and what careers they may want when they grow up! The sky's the limit for our Aviators! ✈️ #RepthatA

The Outdoor Adventure Class at Alliance High School visited Kent State University's Recreation and Wellness Center to participate in Rock Climbing today! The KSU staff did a great job teaching the students about safety and instructing them on how to climb the rock wall. The students fought through some uncertainty and showed themselves to be risk takers by climbing the wall. They all did a great job! #RepthatA

Members of the Alliance Kiwanis Club surprised Junior Jenna Heslop with a donation to help her attend the HOBY World Leadership Congress in Chicago, Illinois this summer! HOBY, the Hugh O'Brian Youth Leadership Foundation, offers state level leadership seminars each year for high school students. Jenna recently took part in one of the seminars. She presented about her experience to the Kiwanis Club and expressed her desire to attend the HOBY World Leadership Congress. The Kiwanians generously offered to assist with the cost of the trip with the hopes that Jenna would return for a future meeting to tell them about her experience. Jenna will be the first Alliance High School student to attend the World Leadership Congress! What an amazing opportunity! We would like to send a heartfelt thank you to the Alliance Kiwanis Club for their generous donation and for their continued support of our Alliance Aviators! #RepthatA
