✨ CARING CITIZENS ✨ The Alliance High School Foundation of Art and Art Club students are wrapping up an impressive effort with textile arts! Crocheted 8" x 8” squares will be stitched together to form collaborative blankets. 🧶 In the season of thanks, students will give back to the community that supports them by distributing the completed blankets to our local hospitals and nursing homes. Students also had the opportunity to make hats. Much of the yarn they used was donated and in an effort to reciprocate, students have to make a hat in order to take a hat! Way to go, Aviators! ✈ #RepthatA

Talk about Hospitality! The employees at Hampton Inn and Suites in Alliance really outdid themselves! The Junior JTC class at AHS had the opportunity to tour the hotel and learn about the various employment opportunities. We covered the entire beautiful hotel and learned about the front desk, maintenance, housekeeping and breakfast attendant. Thank you Hampton for such an amazing experience! #RepthatA

At Tuesday's meeting, two students spoke to the Board of Education about their experience with the transition project, a partnership between Alliance and the University of Mount Union! As part of this project, about 26 10th graders met with UMU students and created a presentation about themselves and future careers they would be interested in. The students then present the projects at Mount Union. Sole'yah Copper and Jason Klaas gave their presentations to the board members and answered questions about their projects. Both students did a fantastic job! The goal of this project is to help students to start thinking about their futures and what path they should take to achieve their career aspirations. We are constantly being reminded just how amazing our Aviators are! ✈ #RepthatA
