Yesterday, we had the opportunity to surprise two of our outstanding teachers!
Stephanie McKnight was recognized as the 2024 Alliance City Schools Teacher of the Year! Mrs. McKnight is the sports medicine career tech teacher at Alliance High School and has had a tremendous impact on the staff, students and district throughout her time as a teacher.
Adam Filo was recognized as the 2024 ACS Rookie Teacher of the Year! Mr. Filo is in his first year teaching history at AHS and already he has helped to promote a positive and supportive culture.

Mike and Sarah Oakes, owners of First Choice Electrical Solutions, generously purchased letterman jackets for two of our outstanding athletes! Chacora Tackett, a sophomore, and Jakoby Mashema, a freshman, were selected to receive the jackets for exemplifying the core values of Alliance City Schools by being Leaders, High Performers and Caring Citizens!
Chacora and Jakoby had the opportunity to design their dream jackets and have been proudly wearing them. This week, they had the chance to meet and thank Mr. and Mrs. Oakes in person.

The senior cosmetology students serviced more than 75 clients last week during the annual Hair-A-Thon! 💇♀️ The students offered a variety of services to the community to help them prepare for a real-world salon experience. It's Filo Fit Friday today at AHS! Adam Filo, a social studies teacher, started the tradition at the beginning of the year. Every Friday, Mr. Filo wears a funky pair of pants or outfit to brighten the day of every student and staff member. Today, he recruited others to join in on the fun! #RepthatA
