AHS students participated in the Canton City Peace Day celebration in alignment with the United Nation's International Day of Peace. The event was held in Canton on Sept. 21. The agenda included time for students to chalk the walk and write out/draw messages of peace on the grounds of the downtown courthouse plaza, a performance by Canton's AIM academy students, and motivational messages of positivity and peace from Mayor Thomas Bernabei of Canton, as well Stark County Prosecutor Kyle Stone.

The Goodwill Drive to Victory starts today!
Donations will be collected Monday, September 26 - Friday, September 30. A Goodwill trailer will be in the back parking lot of the high school from 7 am - 3 pm Monday-Thursday and from 7 am - noon on Friday. All donations must be dropped off at the Goodwill trailer.

Come celebrate Alliance High School's 50th anniversary!
An open house will take place on Sunday, October 16 from 2-4 pm. Alumni of all ages are invited to attend the open house and tour the building to see how it has changed since they walked they halls as students. This event is also open to all families and community members.
Alumni from 1973-1976 are encouraged to email scanned photos that they may have from their high school days to be included in a slideshow presentation. The photos can be sent to Cheyanne Gonzales at gonzalesch@alliancecityschools.org.

The Jobs Training Coordination (JTC) class recently made an appearance on Kyle’s Kitchen on Spectrum Cable Television. Joey Hunt, a JTC senior, mixed two of several varieties of smoothies the class will start selling to AHS staff in November.
You can learn more about JTC and the fun things they do by watching the segment! The Kyle’s Kitchen show is taped monthly by Spectrum staff and Media Arts students with various community and school guest chefs.

First grade students at AELS started the school year with a focus on character building and getting along together. Kate Harris' class wrote their own version of the book "It's OK to Feel" by Zachary Gibson and sent a copy to the author. Awesome job, first graders! #RepthatA

The students at AES celebrated International Dot Day on Friday! Principal Cory Muller read the book "The Dot" by Peter H. Reynolds, which encourages students to be brave and make their mark. Each student then created their own dot! #RepthatA
