Fourth-graders in Danielle Kinsey’s social studies classes were highly engaged during a review game. Miss Kinsey used SMART Lab software to create a game using affiliation and novelty and variety. The students loved it! After the computer randomly assigned teams, students worked on answering questions to free their monster from its shell. What an excellent way to practice for a test!

Shari Johnson and Susan Mann's preschool class are published authors!!! The students wrote a book called "Where Are You Going" and the idea on how the book came about was rather interesting. Shari Johnson during one of her morning routine lessons rolled a ball around on the floor to each student and asked them where they were going. Each student would respond differently. One of the answers the students said was that there were going to the store. From there, Shari Johnson asked the students what they were going to the store to get and that is where the fun began. The students went to the store to buy items for a party. Each student named their items from cupcakes, party hats and punch and they also illustrated their own pictures as well. Parents from the class came to hear the story as each student stood proud and stated loud their part of the book. Congratulations to the preschool class on becoming published authors and a huge thank you goes out to Shari Johnson and Susan Mann for all of their hard work and dedication on this project!
