PreK & Kindergarten Registration Opens Feb. 22

Preschool and kindergarten registration for the 2021-2022 school year at Alliance Early Learning School (AELS) will take place online. Parents can begin the registration process on Monday, Feb. 22.

In order to register your child the following information will be required:

\r\n

For preschool, they will have to be 3 years-old by Aug. 1. The following is required for registration:

\r\n
  • Birth Certificate from the Health Department
  • Immunization Records
  • Parent or Guardian Photo Identification
  • Proof of Address
  • Custody Documents if applicable
  • Parent or Guardian Proof of Income
  • Incoming preschoolers should be potty trained. If you have questions, please contact AELS.
\r\n

For kindergarten, the child must be 5 years-old by Aug. 1. The following is required for registration:

\r\n
  • Birth Certificate from the Health Department
  • Immunization Records
  • Parent or Guardian Photo Identification
  • Proof of Address
  • Custody Documents if applicable
\r\n

The staff at AELS are certified and highly-trained teachers, even the preschool teachers. This is not a common occurrence in many preschools. The students begin at the age of three or four in a classroom setting and learn skills necessary to prepare them for kindergarten.

\r\n

AELS is unique in the fact that it houses all the preschoolers, kindergartners and first graders in the Alliance City School District in one building. The young students can spend up to four years in the building- two years in preschool and one year in both kindergarten and first grade. This is the longest a student will potentially spend in one building until they reach high school.

“One visit with our preschool team and you will know there is just something special about AELS. Students who have two years of preschool experience have such an easier transition to kindergarten as they focus on academic and social/emotional development. All you have to do is talk to members of our community and they will tell you how much they enjoyed their children starting their educational journey here at AELS for preschool,” said Cory Muller, principal at AELS.

\r\n

Information about how to complete the online registration can be found on the Alliance City School website, https://www.alliancecityschools.org/page/register-your-child. Parents should not start the registration process until Monday, Feb. 22.

\r\n

If a parent is unable to register their child online, they should contact AELS at 330-829-2266.

\r\n

Registration will continue through the summer months.

\r\n

Spots are limited for preschool registration. Students previously registered in preschool at AELS do not have to be re-registered for the 2021-2022 academic year.
