Alliance High School inducted two individuals into the Career Tech Hall of Fame!
Mayor Andy Grove graduated from the Distributed Education career tech program in 1967. Over a 40 year career, he used the skills from the program and his education in hospitality studies from Kent State University to have a thriving career in the private club business. Following his retirement in 2017, he was appointed Councilman at Large for the City of Alliance. In August of 2023, he stepped into the role of Mayor. Mayor Grove has spent many years serving the Alliance Community and proudly representing his alma mater.
Eric Peters graduated from the Welding career tech program in 1996. Follow high school, he's had a successful welding career. Mr. Peters founded his own successful and thriving business, Innovative Welding and Design, LLC, 12 years ago. Four years ago, he was contacted to be the second welding teacher at AHS after the program continued to grow throughout the years. He has worked alongside Steve Fuson, his very own welding instructor from his time in the program, to educate students in the field of welding. He was selected as the 2022 Rookie Teacher of the Year for ACS.
Both men were celebrated during the Alliance High School Academic Recognition ceremony and a reception afterwards.
Congratulations, Mayor Grove and Mr. Peters.
