ALLIANCE, OHIO – (October 24, 2023) – Alliance Preschool will open its doors to current and future preschool families and community members from 4-6 p.m. on Thursday, Oct. 26 at the community open house.
“We’re excited to open our doors and show off our beautiful building,” said Adam De Monte, principal of Alliance Preschool. “We welcome all members of the community to come see the wonderful preschool we have in Alliance City Schools. Our staff has worked so hard these last months moving from AELS. There will be snacks, art activities, raffle baskets and tons of community partners. We hope to see you there.”
Formerly housed at Alliance Early Learning School, the preschool program now has a building of its own at the former Parkway Elementary School, 1490 Parkway Blvd. Alliance Preschool officially opened its doors at the start of the 2023-24 school year. The open house is the first chance for community members to see the school as an all-preschool building.
There will be tons of fun activities for families and their young children to take part in, including exploring the building, meeting the staff, fall crafts, cookie decorating, photo stations, snacks and community information tables.
The building features seven preschool classrooms, a library, a sensory room and an indoor play area. There are also community organizations such as SPARK, Early Childhood Education Alliance, University of Mount Union and Child & Adolescent Behavioral Health that utilize space on the second floor of the building.
All Aviator families and community members are welcome to attend the open house.
Following the Alliance Preschool Community Open House, families with students in kindergarten through 12th grade are encouraged to attend the Alliance City Schools Futures Fest at Alliance High School. Futures Fest will take place from 5:30-7:30 pm. There will be a college and career fair, career exploration activities for young Aviators, food trucks, prizes and more.
