The All School Book Read this year was Wonder by R. J. Palacio this year. As this is a longer novel, we started on Nov. 17th and read thru Nov. 21st. Every period the students read the same pages across the building. Each content class also had an activity provided to complete each period.

The Family Support Specialists in our district are looking for new or clean coat donations. Donations can be dropped off to any Alliance School. Any questions or if you want to help, please call one of these schools and ask to speak with the FSS.

6th grade Humanities students took a mock flight aboard Aviator Airlines to Ancient Egypt to kick off a unit about ancient civilizations. The flight was complete with boarding passes, inflight movie, and a snack for first class passengers.
Alliance Middle School is having a fundraiser at McDonald’s on E State Street November 16 from 5-8 pm. This event will raise money for student incentives for positive behavior.

A winter coat giveaway for students will take place at the Alliance Community Center on Nov. 16 from 4-6 p.m. Donations of new or gently used coats can be dropped off at any ACS building by Nov. 15.

The tenth annual Strings Spooktacular, a spooky orchestra concert, will take place on Thursday, October 26, 2017 at 7:00 p.m. in the AHS Auditorium. Eighth grade and high school orchestra members will be performing a variety of creepy selections (while wearing costumes, of course!). Please join us - if you dare! Admission to this concert is free, but all souls are invited to bring a canned food item to support the National Honor Society annual canned food drive.
