The kindergarteners in Amanda Hennon's and Helen Reich's classes turned into authors! ✍
The students had a virtual visit with author Todd Parr to learn about what an author is and to find out about the books he writes. The students then wrote and illustrated their very own books!
They hosted a special event for their families, so they could read their very special books! Each kiddo even got a special cookie to enjoy and celebrate becoming authors! 😋 #RepthatA

❤ Julie Hale is the 2025 ACS Teacher of the Year! Mrs. Hale is a 3rd grade Teacher at Alliance Elementary School. She has spent many years as a dedicated, kind and compassionate teacher who has made a positive impact on every student she has had the opportunity to teach!
🩵 Bailey Balderson is the 2025 ACS Rookie Teacher of the Year! Miss Balderson is a first year kindergarten teacher at Alliance Early Learning School. She may be a new teacher, but her kindness and unwavering confidence in her students has made her a fantastic edition to the Aviator team!
Please join us in congratulating these two very deserving teachers! 👏👏 #RepthatA

Our 1st Graders Celebrated the 120th Day of School! 🎉
A key 1st-grade math standard is counting to 120, so instead of celebrating the 100th day of school like many other students in the district, our 1st-grade team makes learning fun by celebrating 120 days of learning!
Students created 120th-day school projects and presented them to their peers in a fun parade-style presentation! What an exciting way to bring math to life!
Great job, Aviators! 👏🔢 #RepthatA

The kindergartners in Tracy Bowser's class at Alliance Early Learning School were surprised with their very own Dr. Seuss stuffies thanks to Brittany Steed! She spent months thrifting the stuffed animals for her son and his classmates so each child could have one during Dr. Seuss week.
What an amazing gift for our kindergarten friends! Thank you, Ms. Steed, for your kindness and generosity! 🩵❤️ #RepthatA

👩🏫 Future Leaders in the Making! 👷♂
Our kindergartners at Alliance Early Learning School took a big step toward their futures by dressing up as their dream careers! From doctors and teachers to police officers and chefs, these young Aviators are already thinking about the paths they want to take.
Career exploration starts early at Alliance City Schools, helping students dream big and see endless possibilities for their futures. By introducing career concepts now, we're meeting our vision of preparing some of our youngest Aviators for life, college and careers! ✈
Do you remember what you 🫵 wanted to be in kindergarten? #RepthatA

Madi Gasparik ('18), an emergency room nurse, and Dr. Nathan Hieb, a trauma surgeon at Cleveland Clinic Mercy Hospital, visited the kindergartners to share insights about their careers in the medical field! 👩⚕️👨⚕️
The students learned about the education and training Madi and Dr. Hieb completed to achieve their career goals, as well as what their daily responsibilities are like at the hospital.
Both guests shared that their favorite part of the job is helping people feel better. The students loved hearing from Madi and Dr. Hieb!
Thank you both for taking the time to visit our kindergarten classes! #RepthatA
