Lori Gasparik

ALLIANCE, OHIO – (April 15, 2025) – The Alliance Board of Education approved Lori Gasparik as the next principal of Alliance Early Learning School at tonight’s regular board meeting.

Gasparik was hired as a kindergarten teacher at Liberty Elementary School in 1988. Following the closing of Liberty, she went on to teach kindergarten at Rockhill Elementary School and most recently Alliance Early Learning School.

“I couldn’t be more excited to announce Lori as the next principal of AELS,” said Superintendent Rob Gress. “Lori knows AELS inside and out and she’s earned the respect of students, staff and families alike. She has been a steady presence, a strong advocate for kids and a leader among her peers. I know she will carry forward the great work that’s already happening at AELS.”

Gasparik received her bachelors in education from the University of Akron in 1988 and her masters in educational administration in 1997 from Youngstown State University.

While this will be her first administrative position, she has held leadership roles at AELS for several years as a member of the building leadership team and the district leadership team and has served as a summer school principal since 2021.

“I am honored to be the next principal of Alliance Early Learning School,” Gasparik said. “I love the children and their families, and I love the staff members here. All of us working together will continue to make AELS a wonderful learning environment for our young students.”

Gasparik is taking over the position from Cory Muller, who announced his resignation from the AELS earlier this month to advance his career in education administration. She will transition to her new position over the summer.

Along with being well known at Alliance City Schools, Gasparik is known and respected in the Alliance community. She has been heavily involved in community activities including, serving as vice president of the Aviator Sports Boosters, co-chairing the musical entertainment for the Greater Alliance Carnation Festival, being an active member, head of the decorating committee and a member of the parish and family life committee at St. Joseph Catholic Church, volunteering at Shakespeare at the Castle and as docent for Glamorgan Castle and serving as past vice president along with a number of other positions for the Carnation Festival.

Alliance Early Learning School, located at 285 W. Oxford St., houses all kindergarten and first grade students attending Alliance City School.
