LPN Classes Now Enrolling
Founded in 2004, the Robert T. White (RTW) School of Practical Nursing at Alliance Career Center (ACC) offers an intensive practical nursing program complete with classroom and laboratory learning and clinical opportunities at various locations in the community.
LPNs have the opportunity to work in hospitals, physicians’ offices, long-term care facilities and outpatient care centers. They are trained to be versatile and to perform a variety of tasks including administering medication and injections, taking vital signs and providing treatments.
RTW’s full-time class offers students a ten-month program, which prepares the students for the National Council Licensure Examination for Practical Nurses (NCLEXPN). Following their passage of the NCLEXPN, the students will become Licensed Practical Nurses. The last two graduating classes have received a one hundred percent passage rate on the state boards and many have found positions as LPNs at local establishments.
The class of 2019 will graduate on July 25. They are hoping to be the third class to receive a one-hundred percent passage rate on their state boards, following in the footsteps of the previous two graduating classes. For people wishing to attend the graduation, it will take place at 6 p.m. at Alliance High School.
RTW is accredited by the Commission of the Council on Occupational Education.
RTW is enrolling for a new class of LPNs. The deadline to apply is Aug. 2 with classes beginning on Aug. 14. The students will graduate as LPNs on July 9, 2020. In order to enter the LPN program, applicants must have a high school diploma or GED, a criminal background check and successfully complete of Workkeys Entrance Test.
ACC offers financial assistance for students who qualify making RTW an affordable option for men and women with the desire to enter the medical field as LPNs.
